FDDI Capacity Allocation - Example

• 4 stations, fixed size frames

• TTRT = 100 frame times (target token rotation time)

• SAi = 20 for all i (ie, 4*20=80 frames per TTRT)

• 4 frames overhead per TTRT

• gives 100 - 80 - 4 = 16 asynchronous frames roughly distributed across all stations
