Research

Most of my current research is on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) in computer science. I am primarily interested in:
I do not take applications for graduate students. However, I am open to supervising undergraduate research, either through summer mentorship or awards, CPSC 502/503 projects, or research assistantships.

Keep in mind that research spots are very limited and fill quickly, especially for funded positions, so it is better to apply as early as possible. For example, the deadline to apply for most summer scholarships (like PURE) is in January, so you would need to start reaching out to potential supervisors in late Fall.

If you are interested in pursuing research but are not sure where to start, I am happy to meet with you and talk through what the process looks like. To set up an appointment, send me an email with a list of at least three times you are available to meet and a rough description of what you would like to discuss. Due to personal limitations I might not be able to accommodate everyone, but I will do my best to fit you in.
