  U = 1/ Nr (1 + 2a)

• here each erroneous frame requires retransmission of K frames

  Nr = Exp{#frames xmitted to send 1}
  
  Nr = __f(i) P i-1(1-P)
  where f(i) = total # frames xmitted if 1st frame must be sent i times = 1 + (i-1)K
  Nr = 1 - K + K/ (1 - P)
