Using the 203 lab computers

The two labs for CPSC 203 are located in MS 236 & MS 237. For security purposes you won't be able to enter the secure doors on your own, however during scheduled tutorials and when Continuous Tutorial is running the door will be open.

When you first use one of the computers you will see a popup (Figure 1) that briefly describes the services available and where to store your work. (Note the point about not saving your work on the desktop).

When you are done reading the information you can press 'OK' and then you will see the login screen (Figure 2). Make sure you enter your university Information technologies (UC-IT) login information and not your eID (which is used only for the PeopleSoft portal). If you don't yet have account or if you have problems with your account then you can go for help on the 7th floor of Math Sciences. (Online UC-IT help page: http://www.ucalgary.ca/it/help)

A successful login will take you to the login options (Figure 3), select 'Standard-Desktop'.
