Main links

  1. Downloading SSH: [UC-IT: Windows] (SSH is built into UNIX - which includes MAC-OS so you don't have to install anything extra).
  2. Brief tutorials on getting starting using SSH: [Windows] [MAC-OS]
  3. More information on SSH: [UC-IT website help for SSH], keep in mind that it's been created by UC-IT and not the Department of Computer Science so the help focuses on showing you how to get a remote SSH connection to the UC-IT computers rather than the Computer Science network (my Windows help link #2 above provides server information that is specific to the Computer Science network).
  4. A current list of the compute servers, make sure you pick a machine with Linux installed and isn't restricted to graduate students or 'Profs': [Server list]
