- Make sure that you carefully read the assignment specifications for
each assignment! (This is a set of general guidelines for all
assignments and each assignment may have a more specific set of things for
you to do).
|
- All assignments are due at 4 PM on the due dates listed on the
course web page. Late assignments or components of assignments will not
be accepted for marking without approval beforehand.
|
- Extensions may be granted by the course instructor with the receipt of
the appropriate documentation (e.g., a doctor's note). Tutorial
instructors (TA's) will not be able to provide extension on their own and
will only direct you back to me. (Note: Forgetting to hand your
assignment or a component of your assignment in does not constitute a
sufficient reason for handing your assignment in late). In all other cases
due dates will be strictly enforced, late assignments will not be accepted
for grading.
|
- Be sure to include standard contact information so
your TA can match grades with students, excluding this information may
result in your grade not being recorded properly (i.e., you received a
zero for the assignment because your TA didn't know who to assign the
grade to).
|
|
- Your Name
- Your University Identification Number
- The course name (CPSC) and number (203)
- The Tutorial that you are registered in
- Your TA's name
- The Assignment Number
One way of including this contact information is to create a text
document using a program like MS-Word and type in the above information.
Some assignments may require you to explicitly include this information
within the assignment document itself. |
- Assignments must be electronically submitted using Blackboard [Blackboard].
If you need to resubmit your assignment then send me an email and I can
allow you another attempt by deleting your previous attempt (just try not
to do this too many times). However you should make sure that when are
ready to submit the final version of your assignment that you select the
'submit' option rather than the 'save' option. The latter option only
transfers your work to the university computers but won't allow us to
actually access your assignment (you have to explicitly submit it first).
|
-
Group submission are not allowed for
this course, each student must individually submit an assignment that
reflects their own work. That is, copying the work of another student is
not allowed and may be construed as academic misconduct. Cases of academic
misconduct will be referred to the Associate Head of Academic Affairs and
penalties may result in expulsion from the university.
