CPSC 203: Assignment Submission Guidelines

Points to keep in mind:

  1. Make sure that you carefully read the assignment specifications for each assignment!   (This is a set of general guidelines for all assignments and each assignment may have a more specific set of things for you to do).
  2. All assignments are due at 4 PM on the due dates listed on the course web page.  Late assignments or components of assignments will not be accepted for marking without approval beforehand.
  3. Extensions may be granted by the course instructor (me!) with the receipt of the appropriate documentation (e.g., a doctor's note).  Tutorial instructors (TA's) will not be able to provide extension on their own and must receive permission from the course instructor first.  (Note: Forgetting to hand your assignment or a component of your assignment in does not constitute a sufficient reason for handing your assignment in late). In all other cases due dates will be strictly enforced, late assignments will not be accepted for grading.
  4. Assignments must be electronically submitted using Blackboard [Blackboard]. If there is a technical reason that you are unable to successfully submit your work with Black board then you can submit your assignment using email. In the latter case you must still submit your work on time to both your TA (click here for their email addresses) and to me. Make sure that include the following information in the subject line: "CPSC 203 Assignment X" where 'X' stands for the assignment number that you are submitting e.g., "CPSC 203 Assignment 1".
  5. Group submission are not allowed for this course, each student must individually submit an assignment that reflects their own work. That is, copying the work of another student is not allowed and may be construed as academic misconduct. Cases of academic misconduct will be referred to the Associate Head of Academic Affairs and penalties may result in expulsion from the university.
