CPSC 203: Assignment One (Marking List)

Features of Excel that you must include in this assignment:

 
  • Cell A2 contains all the required contact information: 1 mark
 
  • Change the font of cell 'A1': 2 marks
 
  • Change all the titles along row 3: 1 mark
 
  • Change the background color: 2 marks
 
  • Merge cells A1 - C1 (2 marks),  left justified (1 mark): 3 marks total 
 
  • 'Grades Fall 2007’ appears at the bottom right of each page: 2 marks
 
  • Uses the SUM function for Column M, 2 decimal digits shown: 2 marks
 
  • Calculates the percentage score in Column N, 2 decimal digits shown: 2 marks
 
  • Use the format cell feature so that Column N (labeled ‘Percentage’ displays a % sign): 1 mark
 
  • Uses the VLOOKUP function in Column O: 3 marks
 
  • Uses the COUNTIF function in Column U: 2 marks
 
  • Calculates the raw average score via the AVERAGE function in Row 71, shows 2 decimal digits: 2 marks
 
  • Calculates the average percentage for each question in Row 72, shows 2 decimal digits: 2 marks
 
  • Use the format cell feature so that Row 72 (average percentage displays a % sign): 1 mark
 
  • Calculates the high score using the MAX function in Row 73: 1 mark
 
  • Produces the bar graph as described in the assignment: 3 marks
 
  • Change the spreadsheet so that the headings shown on Row 3 will always appear onscreen: 2 marks
 
  • Version 2 of the spreadsheet includes the information above plus the alternate percentage ranges: 2 marks
