CPSC 481: Midterm exam information

Grades

• The exam will be schedule by the Office of the Registrar.  For more information go to the Infonet web site.
• It will be a closed book exam.

Approximate breakdown of marks by topic

^{1These breakdowns are based on a near-final version of the final exam, slight adjustments may be made in the final version.  Also since the exam is cumulative any outstanding marks not following into one of the above categories may include questions from the first part of the term.}

Approximate breakdown of marks by question type

The exam will consist of approximately a dozen written questions.  Some questions will include multiple parts.  There will not be any multiple choice questions for the final exam.

The role of the required readings with respect to the final exam

• Reading and understanding the content in these extra materials may allow you to better understand the lecture material and thus provide 'richer' answers.  In addition there may be a written question and/or multiple choice that asks you specifically about material from one of the papers which wasn't directly covered in lecture.

Review

• I will do a review during the class on Friday, December 8 by covering some sample exam questions.
