General instructions:

• Don’t panic!  Remember this is only an exam! ☻
• Write your name on the outside cover of this exam.  Write your name and ID number on the inside of this exam.
• This is a closed book exam: No notes, electronic devices (e.g., cell phones) or computational aids (e.g., calculators, laptops, hand-held computers, slide rulers) will be allowed.
• Unless otherwise stated assume that all programs and program fragments will compile.
• After you have finished writing your exam, hand in all exam materials (the question sheet and the computerized bubble sheet) at the front (again make sure that you have correctly filled in all the labelled fields). 

Multiple choice questions:

• Only use an HB (or darker) pencil
• Make sure that you fill in all your contact information
•  Mark your answers on the computerized bubble sheets and not in this exam
•  For each question make sure that you pick the best answer.

Short answer questions:
