Marking for assignment 5

Checklist of major points to watch for (note that any time that an assignment does not adequately fulfill a point on the checklist it will result in the loss of one letter grade e.g., “A” to “B“)

General points

1) One letter grade for each page missing (there are four required for the assignment, the main home page, the personal page, the school page and the external links page).

2) Consistency between web pages (background, placement of navigational links)

Points specific to individual pages

1) Home page

· email image

2) Personal page (there are two separate points here)

· 1 or more images on this page, at least 1 must be a thumbnail link to the full sized image

· images are located in their own separate directory (in lab the TA’s will describe what this means and how to do it)

3) External links page

· 3 or more links to sites external and separate from the student’s A5 homepage

4) School page

· 2 or more images on this page

· images are in their own directory (in lab the TA’s will describe what this means and how to do it)

Checklist of minor points to watch for (inadequately fulfilling a point on the checklist will result in the loss of one step (e.g., “A” to “A-“).

1) Title for each page (a step will be lost for each page that is missing a title)

2) Paragraph (required for all but the external links page – a step will be lost for each page that is missing the paragraph)

· Don’t forget any additional instructions given in lab

· The lowest possible grade is an “F”
