Marking for assignment 4

 

An assignment that correctly completes all of the steps outlined in the textbook, pays adequate attention to detail and fulfills any lab specific requirements can receive an “A” grade. 

 

Checklist of major points to watch for (note that any time that an assignment does not adequately fulfill a point on the checklist it will result in the loss of one letter grade e.g., “A” to “B“)

1)      One datasheet demonstrating the correct selection of records resulting from the query, LowHours (Project 4)

2)      One datasheet with the year-to-date report (Project 6)

3)      Cover sheet: if any info incorrect or missing results in the grade being reduced by one step (if the cover sheet is omitted altogether the grade of the assignment will drop down 2 steps e.g., “A” to “C”).

 

Checklist of minor points to watch for (inadequately fulfilling a point on the checklist will result in the loss of one step (e.g., “A” to “A-“).

1.      All required fields

2.      Appropriate formatting of field values

3.      Correct selection of records

4.      Correct order of records

5.      Appropriate labels (titles, headings, footers, etc.)

6.      Spelling

 

 

·        Don’t forget any additional instructions given in lab e.g., your lab TA may have given instructions on how to print the assignment so that it is legible (e.g., condensing the print, landscape printing etc).

·        The lowest possible grade is an “F”
