THE WORK ON THE BRIDGE STARTED IN THE WINTER OF 2005. DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER THE VARIOUS PIECES OF THE BRIDGE WERE KEPT UNDER WRAP. AS IS USUAL WITH SUCH PROJECTS, BEFORE THE FINAL RESULT THERE IS A LOT OF MESSING ABOUT.

There seemed to be three pieces of the bridge.

We wondered if the wooden railing was there to stay

and we hoped that bridge access would improve with time to something better than a small ladder.
