Janet Leahy

Bio:

As an undergraduate student, I was inspired to take up computer science after being called a nerd by the professor in my first coding class, and stayed after becoming interested in the theoretical side of algorithm design. I completed my undergraduate and graduate research in quantum algorithms supervised by Peter Høyer.

Current research interests: Game-based learning, education in computer science (focus on discrete mathematics and theory), graduate teaching development, building student communities

I have been known to like frogs and coffee.
