CPSC 441 students,

Happy New Year! You are receiving this email because you are
enrolled in the Winter 2018 offering of CPSC 441: Computer Networks.
Our first class is on Monday, January 8, at 12:00 noon in ENE 241.

A few announcements while I have your attention:

(1) My course Web site is gradually coming together at the URL
        http://www.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~carey/CPSC441/
    Please make a bookmark of this for your future reference.

(2) There will also be a D2L site for CPSC 441, but it is not
    quite up to snuff yet. (If you are reading this email, then
    that means I have at least figured out how to send email to
    the class list in D2L.) My CPSC 441 site has a direct link
    to the D2L site, and vice versa. Feel free to bookmark the
    D2L site too, for easy use. We will be using both a lot.

(3) Tutorials will start the week of January 15. The tentative
    schedule of tutorial topics is on the CPSC 441 Web site.
    The TA information is also there for your information.

(4) Lectures take place in ENE 241, and not ENE 239. This was
    a room change that occurred in December, and some older
    course information still shows ENE 239. Just ignore that.

(5) ENE 241 will be a bit harder to find than usual in January,
    since there is some construction happening on the second-floor
    link between the ICT building and the Engineering building.
    So for the first week or two, plan on getting to Engineering
    on the main floor, and then taking the stairs or elevator
    up to the second floor of E block. The construction is
    slated to finish in late January, and will simplify our
    hallway travels after that. You have been forewarned!
