Welcome to CPSC 215!

I am glad to introduce you to the fascinating world of computer programming this semester.

Our programming environment, we are going to work in, is Mathematica (www.wolfram.com). Mathematica offers one of the most powerful programming languages and scientific research tools for the Natural Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, and many more application areas.

If you have any questions concerning this course, please do not hesitate to contact me:

  • You can send me an email: jacob@cpsc.ucalgary.ca. This is definitely the fastest way to get hold of me.

  • You can call me by phone: my office number is 220-7682.

  • You can drop by my office, which is in ICT 750 on the 7th floor of the ICT Building (between Earth Sciences and Engineering).

If you want to make sure that you don't come by my office and I am not there, please make an appointment. Then I will have enough time for you.

During my office hours, I will always be either in my office or in your undergraduate Computer Lab on the Main Floor.

My office hours are: Monday and Wednesday, 11a.m. to 12 p.m.
