Project Web Page and format for documents.

Please build a project web page. It does not have to be fancy, don't spend your time making it
beautiful unless you enjoy that kind of activity.  As long as the material is readable I am happy to just
have it in black and white.

For project documents that are submitted for credit, please do NOT use Microsoft word.
Use Latex or plain text or better still just put the proposal on your project web page.
Pagemaker I am told is also quite good, you need something that will help you format
the maths and the bibliography. You will no doubt spend a lot of the
rest of your life using MWord, try and find out what else is available, what else is possible!

Latex  can be used interactively through Lyx.  If you use
pdflatex it will produce pdf as output.

Many online bibliographies provide bibtex entries.  One of the good things about
Latex is that you can add a new entry to your bibliography, and references
in the text will stay the same.  Latex will re-number the bibliography for you
and makes sure it is upto date.  MWord will not do this.  Also if you
re-arrange your figures or paragraphs or sections in Latex, references to them
(see \label) will be automatically changed and everything re-numbered
correctly.

The main problem with Word is the fact that it it makes you do the type-setting,
What You See is ALL you get. You are probably not an expert typesetter and you
probably don't want to become one!  This is particularly true with the math
package.  Let Latex do all the work, all you have to do
is to use a few easy commands, even easier in Lyx.  You will find that writing
longer documents, like a thesis or even your final report will be much easier
done in Latex than in Word.

Most conferences these days make you use a template for formatting.  For 502/503
use the format for Eurographics, there is both Word and Latex
templates online, but I really encourage you to give Latex a try.

I have also made a local copy of the EG format.
